Mobile phone chess What is the best chess program & phone for single player chess?...

And does anybody know the ELO ratings of these at all, given that the processor of a mobile phone cant be that sophisticated, one must imagine that mobile phone chess is seriously poor, opening book must be tiny too?

Multi and Single play chess I found and loaded a chess game that allows me to play others over the phone and someone face to face. It's called Net Mobile Chess and you can easily find it if you type that into any search engine.

Arberg Chess Hi Spurtus

I have Arberg Chess on my mobile. It's pretty good with 5 levels and pretty hard to beat.... at least for me.

From 442. I've no idea of the quality but 442 (English football magazine) advertisizes www.gameloft.com as a place for mobile phone games including chess.

The Poodle.

So now people can play chess on their mobile phones as they drive? One more thing to worry about...

Question from an Un-Whiz? Being far from a Whiz these days with computers and newfangled gadgets in general (like cell phones!). Might someone be kind enough to explain the basic concept or setup for this mobile phone chess?
....
For EG is it just for the type that will Internet access for you as well? Or really talking about handheld microcomputers here? Or just an ordinary cell phone, in which case I have no idea how that would work ?
....
It all sounds very interesting and I had no idea there was so much out there for Chess connections of the sort !
Regards, Craig A.C.

Sony P900 My Sony P900 (and I imagine all Symbian phones) has 'Chess' built in. Its ok, I can beat the second hardest setting 80% of the time, and I'm only 1300 rated (will be higher soon though!).
