Richardson Surging on Iraq?

Check out what the Hotline reports about Moveon.org's Townhall on Iraq. Among the general members who voted, Obama took the lead with 28% and Edwards, Kucinich, and Richardson following. But a number, most certainly the Kucinich voters, are online activists who probably paid little attention to the actual forum. Among members who attended House Parties to watch the candidates, Obama dropped to third with 19%, Edwards held steady with 25% and took the lead, and Richardson jumped from 12% to 21%. As voters drop their preconceived notions and listen to the candidates, Richardson picks up a significant level of support. Let's hope the voters in Iowa, Nevada, New Hampshire and South Carolina are paying attention.

Richardson has Substance

This is one of those things that voters are coming to realize, and I hope coming to crave in presidential candidate. I mean last time we had JOHN KERRY, empty suit, as the challenger for the presidency, who was the awful choice if you hated Bush, and thought your vote might affect the election. My state of course had no such possibility and I voted for Badarnik.

His positions are risky but they make sense, and the voters, if they hear his logic, really have to think hard about the issues, and in the process think hard about Richardson. Most front-runners appear to cowards and will bend over backwards to attract voters. And that in of itself is a huge turn off.

Of course the big issue is Iraq, and that position is bound to turn heads.

I noticed how much attention Richardson got, and I keep checking TechPresident's Technorati graph to see if it is translating into broader attention in the blogosphere---nothing yet.
