Richardson makes it official

Richardson was on Hardball yesterday...

Unfortunately, the line of questioning diverted to the acoustics of the stage for the first debate and whether Richardson was able to hear Brian Williams clearly. It wasn't the most substantive line of questioning from Matthews, who has a tendency to get into "political junkie" mode--you know, can anyone stop Hillary, waht's your Iowa poll numbers, how much money have you raised, will you do better in the next debate, etc.

But to be frank, Richardson, like Paul, has no shot at winning his respective party's nomination. However, Richardson does have a real shot at being the vice-president nominee for the democratic ticket. In fact, if I were betting, I would bet on a Clinton/Richardson ticket(there is no doubt in mind that Hillary is going to get the nomination). In a general election, it's going to boil down to the Southwest for Hillary, because she is going to be simply written off in the south and parts of the midwest.

It would be interesting to see the reaction of the libertarian dems at the prospect of Richardson running on a Clinton Ticket.
