I've known of some local leftists in my community holding protests and the like against the Chinese Olympics and in support of Tibet. I've seen the Democratic blogosphere attack Republican Congressman Frank Wolf for this:

Wolf said he realizes he probably can't stop Bush from attending, but any American seen waving in the stands "will go down in history as cooperating in the genocide Olympics of 2008. And history will never, ever, ever forgive them."

Now it looks like some libertarians are joining the list of those critical of the Chinese Olympics. Rojas at Crossed Pond and Doug at the Liberty Papers both agree that this is a propaganda stunt by a totalitarian regime. There is no reason for Americans to support it, let's wait to watch until the 2010 Olympics in Canada. I've always preferred the Winter Olympics anyway.
