It looks like a popular North Carolina Progressive blog has had with Beverly Perdue and is now looking favorably at the candidacy of Mike Munger. Perdue's move to the right on immigration has sullied some Bloggers at BlueNC, and they are now openly expressing support for Libertarian Mike Munger. On the issue of "illegal immigration," Munger is to left of both the major party candidates. Frankly, Munger has done a god job of reaching out to the progressive community in North Carolina.

Blogger James Protzman seeks to sooth his guilt for promoting a Libertarian like Munger by claiming Munger is "not really a libertarian," which is somewhat amusing. True, Munger is not a Randian nor a Rothbardian, but he holds very reliable Cato libertarian views as an accomplished economist and Public Choice Theorist. Munger, who chairs the Duke University Political Science department, is by far the most impressive Libertarian candidate nationally running for office.
